Terms of Service
Last updated: July 1, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the IF Advisory App and related advisory services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Service.
2. Description of Service
The Service provides financial advisory, insurance illustration, needs analysis, and client management tools used by licensed advisors to deliver personalized financial planning and insurance recommendations. The Service may integrate with third-party platforms such as Google Calendar and Google Meet for scheduling and conducting meetings.
3. Eligibility and Account Responsibilities
You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, and to keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity occurring under your account.
4. Financial and Insurance Advice
Recommendations, illustrations, and analyses generated through the Service are provided by your assigned licensed advisor and are based on the information you supply. They do not constitute guaranteed outcomes. Insurance products are subject to underwriting approval by the issuing carrier. You are encouraged to seek independent professional, tax, or legal advice as appropriate to your circumstances.
5. Use of Third-Party Integrations
Where you choose to connect third-party services (such as Google Calendar or Google Meet) via OAuth, your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. You grant the Service limited access to the data you authorize for the sole purpose of providing the integration you requested. You may disconnect such integrations at any time within the Service.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
- Provide false, misleading, or incomplete information that could affect advisory recommendations.
- Attempt to access data or accounts other than your own.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code or underlying data structures.
- Interfere with the security or operation of the Service.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, content, and software, is owned by IF Advisory App and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the personal information and documents you submit through the Service.
8. Fees and Payment
Certain features of the Service may require payment of fees as disclosed by your advisor. Any insurance premiums, policy fees, or third-party charges are separate from any Service fees and are payable directly to the relevant carrier or provider.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits or financial outcomes arising from your use of the Service or reliance on advisory recommendations.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if required to comply with legal or regulatory obligations. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases, subject to any data retention requirements described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted within the Service with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Contact
For questions regarding these Terms, please contact your assigned advisor through the Service or at the contact details provided during onboarding.
